Welcome to Eshelman Avenue Elementary School in lovely Lomita, California. Lomita has a small town feel, and our school reflects this warm, family oriented atmosphere. Serving the community continuously since opening its doors in 1924, Eshelman is now home to a rich and diverse student population, currently comprised of 700 children in Pre-Kindergarten through Fifth grades.
Over 30 different nationalities are represented in our school, and more than a dozen languages in addition to English are spoken daily on our campus. With a strong emphasis on delivering fundamental knowledge and skills in the core subjects of reading, writing, and mathematics, we also offer instruction in social studies, science, technology, and the Arts to insure a well-rounded educational experience for our students. At Eshelman Avenue Elementary School, we never settle for less and strive for the best: every member of our Eshelman “Family” - students, parents, staff, and community volunteers - is a unique and valued component of our vibrant school culture.
